4 Part Mani: Part 4: Nail Art: Half Moon Mani: Megan Miller "Roja" and RED POLISH SPAM

In case you missed, or don't remember steps 1-3, here they are:

  • Part 1: Polish: Sally Hansen "Quick Sand"
  • Part 2: Layering: Sinful Colors "Paris"
  • Part 3: Stamping: Cheetah Print:

  • And here is Part 4: I like this mani a lot. The red is more opaque when it's not being featured up close. So it looks a little more red. It took 4 coats of the red and I still couldn't make it opaque. So I would consider this polish more of a jelly.

I got the idea for this mani from a blog I read called The Daily Nail. Here's her photo of her aunt's nails. I have wanted to re-create this look since the first time I saw it. Of course, this one is way better!!! She's a pro!

    Here's what I used:
    • Cheap page reinforcement stickers to tape off a half moon at the bottom of my nails
    • 4 coats of Megan Miller Roja
    • 1 coat Julep Fast Dry Topcoat
    • Acetone and a paintbrush for clean up around nails

I was given the Megan Miller polish for review. I really wanted to feature this polish in some WILD nail art. Something noteworthy. Unfortunately this polish is more of a jelly than a creme so the look didn't come off exactly as I planned.

I loved the Megan Miller bottle. It's so freakin adorable and a much welcomed addition not only to my polishes, but to my massive red collection. I love red polish!!!

Megan Miller Polish is a 3-free line of polish that's sold on MeganMillerCollection.com. It retails for $12 a bottle and comes in several lovely shades. I love the bottle design and the packaging. The cork bottle handle is genius! It really makes it easy to grip the handle for easy opening and easier polishing.

This line of polish will be featured in Anthropologie stores this Spring.
