Look what arrived in the mail for me yesterday. My January Julep Maven "Classic with a Twist" box. I am usually an "It Girl" but I switched this month. At first, I wasn't even going to order a box this month because I wasn't too thrilled with the idea of neon shades in winter. I decided I wanted to at least try the cuticle stick, so I went ahead and ordered a box.
Here's what was inside:
This cuticle stick is huge, and will probably last forever.
Julep also started a new packaging idea of using stickers on the tops of the bottles so you can do a quick swatch that's easily visible when you have your bottles lined up in a box or a drawer. I think this is a good idea.
Check out these extras they sent. Neon pony tail holders.
This month's colors:
Here's what "Grace" looks like on the nail. Three coats.
And here's what "Madison" looks like on the nail. Three coats. It's more pink in person than in looks like in my photos.
Since Julep sent me the extra swatch stickers, I used them on some of my stash. They only sent 20 extra labels, and as you can see, I didn't have nearly enough. I did see that they are sold as an add on to the boxes, so I will get an extra sheet later on so I can finish swatching my whole Julep collection.
So what do you think of this month's box? What did you get in yours?
If you aren't a Maven and are interested in becoming one, Julep is currently running a special where you can get your introductory box for just one penny simply by using the code "COLOR2012" at check out.
There is no obligation to continue your subscription, you cancel at any time. Or you have several options each month: you can skip the month without charge, choose another style for the month, or send your box to a friend. It's up to you!!! For just a penny, what have you got to lose?? It's certainly worth seeing what all the buzz is about. I know I personally love getting these boxes each month.
That's a pretty handy item (the stickers)...it will keep your Julep stash in perfect order!
ReplyDeleteI agree! They look better already. I can't wait to get another sheet so all my Juleps are marked.
DeleteThe labels are a pretty great idea!
ReplyDeleteI agree Kelly. I used to have to dig through the whole drawer to find the right color. This should simplify things. Makes me want to do it for all my polishes.
DeleteThose are both really pretty colors! The stickers are a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI like "Madison" a lot. "Grace" is just a bit too sheer for my taste, but at least it's new to my overall collection. I like the stickers a lot so far!
DeleteIsn't that funny how it took an 8yr old girl to come up with the sticker idea?!! Thank Goodness for Madison coming up with the sticker idea & I love the color they created for her because of it. It's really pretty. I would love to know how that cuticle stick is & how you like it. The one thing I have loved from Julep is their cuticle oil.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw your Pinterest picture I thought you received your entire Julep collection in the mail. I thought you got a super golden box or something. ;)
Thx for sharing.
Much love.
Wow! that's interesting about the little girl. I didn't know that. And girl, I wish I won a special box. LOL! That would have been great!
DeleteThose are some great ideas they are coming up with now! Good to see Julep stepping up their game!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I've been impressed with the boxes. They always have nice extras, even if you aren't thrilled with your color selections. I like that Julep has added colors to my stash that I wouldn't normally choose for myself.
DeleteOh I love this idea of the stickers! now I think I will have to adopt it too ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I really love how Grace looks on you!
I'm glad somebody likes it. LOL! I am not a fan of light shades like this.
DeleteMadison looks gorgeous! Happy new year :)
ReplyDeleteI started making custom blog designs! Check out this page if you're interested: http://petitfaon.blogspot.it/p/custom-designs.html

Thank you Francivusk! Happy new year to you as well!
DeleteThanks for the heads up on the introductory box. I just ordered mine!
ReplyDeleteKali
Yay! Stop back by and tell me what you think! For a penny, it's totally worth trying. :)
DeleteI used Jules to add on the stickers. There were three pages of stickers in the order, plus the one that came in the box. Plenty for my starter Julep collection.
ReplyDeleteI skipped again this month! But Grace is so very pretty; maybe I made a mistake.
