Stash Additions, Swatches and Color Wheel Spam

Here are a few of my recent polish purchases. I purchased the Revlons from Walmart and the FEVERlacquer is from my good friend, Cassie, from The Manilogues

Revlon Stunning
Revlon Rainforest

2 coats of each on color wheels

Revlon Rainforest- I love this color!!!

Revlon Stunning- which I was disappointed to find was a watered down dupe of China Glaze Techno. I ended up coming across the ChG polish a few days after I bought this one. I wished I had gotten it instead of this one because it's more glitter packed and it was the same price as this Revlon.

FEVERlacquer I Lie Only For You- I was a little bit like "meh" when I saw this in the bottle, but once it came out it was like an explosion of beauty. This is a blue jelly holo with sparse flecks of black hex glitter. It's so yummy!!! It covers well in two coats. Great formula. No streaks. I'm sure if you put it over a blue or black it would look great but it's just as pretty alone, as you can see. I am so pleased I own this limited edition polish, and I am pumped to see what Cassie will make next.

And here's some color wheel spam: OoooOOOoooohhh look at the pretty colors!!! I love that I swatched my whole stash. It's nice to be able to come straight home from polish shopping, or bust open the nail mail and be able to see instant swatches of my polish: no polish change necessary. It's also a great reference tool when I'm deciding what color I want to paint my nails. I also use these when I paint other people's nails so they can choose what color they want without messing with my drawers of precious pretty babies. :P

Have a great day readers!!! I love you all!!!!

Updates of my stash shots, tools and cheap-y storage solutions.

So I like taking pictures of my nail polish. OBVIOUSLY. What nail blogger doesn't? So here it is. It's getting bigger by the day. Look out for some cheap storage solutions I've come up with.

It fits all of my 38 Bundle Monster plates. These are $.50 at Walmart.

Thanks for the lovely little bag Nailtiques. It was FREE (with my $10 order) It holds color wheels nicely.

This how I keep track of my stash so I don't buy dupes.

I got this DOUBLE SIDED pencil case for $.25 on clearance at Giant Eagle.

I'm currently working on some Xmas manis. Just to see how they will work before I put something hideous on my fingers.

Acetone is my friend. I love you Acetone!!!

Oh what fun it is to ride in a no-horse open sleigh. Hey!!!

My basic manicure tools. For cleaning. And trimming. And buffing. And all my top and base-coats.

An inexpensive nail storage solution.

My polish collection is growing quickly these days and I've been looking for a clever way to store all my supplies. These are sold at Walmart for $14.27 here->http://www.walmart.com/ip/Homz-HPI-3-Drawer-Medium-Cart-Black/17203847. Mine was free because someone gave it to me because they weren't using it. SCORE!!!

It's working pretty well for what I need it for and you sure can't beat that price tag. I really can't rationalize spending a ton on a specialized storage system. I encourage people to make use of items they already have around the house and try to find new uses for them. I'm not "Green" or anything but I'm a huge fan of renewing and reusing items.

Swatched my entire collection!

I got tired of looking at my tackle box of polish and not remembering what certain polishes looked like. So I used the pack of color wheels I bought at Sally's to do swatches of every individual color. I even did my stripers (btw, Sinful Colors stripers SUCK!). It also helped me realize a few bottles I could get rid of. I did strictly 2 coats of each color so I had a definitive idea of how they cover. Plus this lets me swatch my new colors so I don't have to be in such a rush to wear them to figure out what they look like. Besides, at my purchasing rate, I honestly buy bottles and don't touch them for weeks. I also had to mark each nail with a little abbreviation because as it turns out I own a lot of very similar colors. I reccomend this process to anyone who has a lot of polish. It was actually kind of fun and now I took the mystery out of my box of polish.

Sarah from The Giveaway Lifestyle and Tracy from The TraceFace Philes are probably going to want to buy about a hundred nail wheels if they plan on doing swatches of all their polishes. They are some crazy polish having ladies. I'm still drooling over Trace's collection. It's unreal!!! And of course I get to see my bff Sarah's stash on the regular in person. She has nearly every color of OPI in existence. She needs to get rid of some and give them to me ;) LOL!

My nail stash!!! I need a bigger tackle box!!!!

I promised my boyfriend I wouldn't buy too much polish. I said I'd never outgrow my big plastic tote. That I would get rid of old polish as I bought new. I lied...to him and myself. LOL!!! I just moved up to two boxes yesterday. I am on the hunt for a tackle box that fits polish upright and doesn't cost a million dollars.
