Ladies Nail/Wine Night: My friends nails

Last Friday I was bored. I had some extra wine in my fridge so I decided to have an impromptu Wine/Nail night. This wasn't one of my scheduled parties, so don't be offended if you're my "real life" friend and I didn't invite you. I haven't quite decided which night I want to start them again.

After a few glasses of wine, these trinkets are necessary for keeping track of your glass. LOL! I got the rings and the letters from the craft section at Walmart. Each were about a dollar. I also go the glasses from Walmart. They sell 12 pack cases of wine glasses for less than $10. So for a grand total of $12 you have fun personalized wine glasses for you and your friends.

I only managed to paint the nails of two people because I was far too busy drinking wine. Anyway, here's the designs I did for my friends Samantha and Kim.

So what do you think of these designs? Do you ever host nail parties? It's a great way to catch up with friends, and if you're like me, it gives you a chance to actually use some of the polish you hoard.

Essie "Hip-Anema" + Stamping + Glitter =

Check out this fun mani I put together:

I started with three coats of the lovely red Essie "Hip-Anema"

Next I added some stamping with my Bundlemonster stamping plates and some Konad Special Black stamping polish

And finally, I used Shimmer Polish "Tracy" for a glittery accent.

So what do you think? I wish the stamping was better, but overall this was a fun and eye catching mani.

Cover Girl "Toasted Almond" + Stamping=

Check out this understated but fun mani I put together.

I started with a base of Cover Girl "Toasted Almond". This is a light brown creme and is opaque in two coats. I have to say, while I realize I'm not the biggest creme fan in the first place, this polish looks just "blah". I guess I'm too much of a bright color and glitter gal to really enjoy neutral creme polishes. But the formula was awesome and it has a super glossy finish. I have quite a few of this particular line, because they were given to me as a gift from my man. The formula on all of them is awesome.

Then I added a simple stamping pattern using Essie "Good as Gold" and a Bundlemonster stamping plate from the third set. It's a simple stamp, but one I find myself using over and over. I wish my stamping was a little cleaner. But the nice thing about the pattern stamps, is even if you mess up, they still look pretty good.

This Essie foil gold is one of my go to stamping polishes. It works perfectly!!!
Like I tell friends, stamping is 3% technique and 97% using the right polish. Most polishes don't work well at all for stamping. It can be a chore to find ones that do. I have a nice collection of go to colors that work well for me, but if I'm on the market for new ones, I always look around online to see what works for other people. No one brand has the best stamping polish and special stamping polishes aren't always the best to use. Konad black and white are great, but I don't use their other colors because other brands have ones that look better.

So what do you think of this mani?

SWATCHES: Alter Ego "Sun Goddess"

Check out this sunny manicure I put together with some layering and a stamp.

To create this look I started with a bright neon yellow shade from Kleancolor

Next I layered two coats of Alter Ego "Sun Goddess" over top of it. I love this shade. It's a orange-yellow base with lots of orange glitter in it. Very unique. The formula was flawless and applied very easily.

If you're a matte lover then you will love the finish on this polish. Here's two coats on a clear spoon and as you can see it dries to a perfectly matte finish.

Here's my little collection of Alter Ego polishes. Cynthia, the creator, is an awesome lady. She stands behind her product and offers great customer service.

St. Patrick's Mani: SNEAK PEAK OF AN UNRELEASED POLISH!

I have a vibrant St. Patrick's day mani to show you today. I'm hoping it will last for the weekend, but you never can know when it comes to polish.
I did this mani in 4 steps, but this was the final product:

I had not originally intended to do 4 layers. I just kept adding to this every day or so and this is how it ended up. Here's what I started with: This is 2 coats of a NOT YET RELEASED matte green pastel polish from my upcoming Spring Polish Line. It's called Green Goddess. I wouldn't have worn it so early, but it was just sitting there, on the shelf, and I had to wear it for a holiday mani. Couldn't resist.

Next I added 1 coat of my "Shamrock" polish.

I wore that little combo around for a while and then decided to sponge on Zoya "Holly" which is a lovely emerald shimmer polish and I put a few white stamps on accent nails.

Shamrock Polish, my entire St. Patrick's Day  line and all my other polishes are in stock at

"Green Goddess" is an addition to last year's Spring Matte Pastel Line. It is one of 3 BRAND NEW SHADES! I will be making a release and giveaway announcement sometime next week for these new colors. Stay tuned to my social media sites for upcoming details.

Fun nail art is one of my favorite things about the holidays
Have you been wearing holiday nails' or polishes? What do you think of this festive mani?
