There's no such thing as TOO MUCH GLITTER: swap with Hazel and stash additions from eBay

I did a swap with my friend Hazel from Haze Glaze. She hooked me up with these lovelies.

China Glaze Raggae to Riches
Julep Maya

Color Club Beyond The Mistletoe
a 7 piece glitter collection released in 2011
These are my first bottles of Color Club and I love them! The formula is awesome and covers well.

2 coats- China Glaze Reggae to Riches

2 coats- Julep Maya
I wore this around on my nubbliest of nubbies and it actually looked...good.
I won't wear loud colors when my nails are short. Not sure why. I guess I'm self conscious of my nubbies. Anyway, This covers well. No dragging. And although the application was a little streaky, it had a really nice finish that complimented my skin tone well.

2 coats- Color Club Holiday Splendor

2 coats- Color Club Sugarplum Fairy

2 coats- Color Club Holiday Splendor

2 coats- Color Club Gingerbread

2 coats- Color Club Candy Cane

2 coats- Color Club Jingle Jangle

Here is my lovely collection of Julep polishes. I love these! I try to pick up as many as I can.

China Glaze is one of my favorite brands. Hands down. Here is my collection of them.

I got to cross these polishes off my WISHLIST over the weekend. I won these on eBay.

Fantasy Makers Black Pearl
Revlon Colada Fizz
Revlon Apple-tini Fizz

2 coats of each

My Sweetly Seductive Fizz collection is nearly complete. The only one I need is Mint Fizz, and I was offered it in a swap. So I'll have it very soon. Thanks Gina :)

I recently posted that I needed 2 more of these WnW tombstones, but I was mistaken. I do believe the only one I need is the bar glitter Black Magic. Lucky for me, that one was also offered to me in a swap. Yay! So   I will finally have these collections complete.

My friend Denise lives in the UK. I received a fantastical ROYAL NAIL MAIL from her today.

Now for some Revlon Spam. I love Revlon. It's one of my favorite brands. They have a lot of really great colors and the formula is usually very good.

3 Part Mani: Step 3: Nail Art: SHAMROCK POP!!!!

Ha, I skipped a step...did you notice?

Yeah, I sat down today to do my St. Patty's Day nail art and right when I started to paint, I realized...duh...I forgot to take photos of Step 2.

That stinks!!! Because actually it was a really awesome mani. I layered some Revlon Pineapple Fizz over my Revlon Sunshine Sparkle. It was a really nice looking combo. It looked like I dipped my nails in glistening sunshine.

Anyway, on to the art...

For Part 2: Layering:
I used:

  • 2 coats Revlon Pineapple Fizz
  • 1 coat Seche Vite
I wore that look around for a day or so before I added art.

For Part 3: Nail Art: SHAMROCK POP
I used:
  • Green and Black Acrylic Paint from my local craft store
  • Dotting tool from my local craft store
  • 1 coat Gelous
  • 1 coat Seche Vite

Acrylic paint works pretty nicely for some nail art. The nice things about it are that
  1. It's super cheap and is sold everywhere for next to nothing
  2. You get the chance to erase your designs without ruining the polish underneath. HOW?? You can just wipe acrylic paint off your fingernail with a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol. The alcohol will take off the acrylic paint but not your polish. Just make sure the polish you're doing art on is absolutely dry before you start drawing.
If you can make hearts and lines pretty easily, I'm sure you can make shamrocks, and probably way better than me. I've got shaky hands. Here's the basic idea:

I loved that Revlon Pineapple Fizz so much! It was from a Revlon Summer 2011 Collection called the "Sweetly Seductive Collection. I know I probably don't have much chance of getting year old Revlons, but if anyone anywhere knows any place I could buy them or swap them...please do tell. They are officially on my BLOG WISHLIST PAGE. I know my list isn't very long but each item is something I really really pine over.

Reader Requested So Easy Stripe Rite Review and Stash Additions: Revlon, Bootie Babe and WnW Fantasy Makers

I had a reader request that I post pictures of the So Easy Stripe Rite brushes. So here they are, as well as a few swatches.

Comparison of a pink and silver Stripe Rite design versus a gold and red Sinful Colors striper design.

Here's a few Blog Sale items I picked up from Carol over at Colores de Carol
I like unique polishes and bottles. I think if I were given the choice of owning every bottle of my favorite brand, or one bottle of each brand....I'd probably take the second option. How about you?

Bootie Babe Slinky Pinky- a light pink creme
Revlon Pineapple Fizz- a yellow jelly flaky glitter polish
WnW Fantasy Makers Black Magic- a black polish with fine orange glitter

I wanted the WnW to add to my little tombstone collection. Here's what I have so far. I actually have 2 of the Claw Polish tombstones as well.

There are 4 in this collection. I'm missing Purple Potion. There's also an alternate Black Magic that is a rainbow glitter. I'm not sure why they did that, but whatever...I guess that means I technically have 2 more of these to get. I know they have older "Fantasy Makers" polishes. But I only really want the tombstones. They're cute!!!
